Surf, Sand, Sweat in Alpine-XC Camp
SAN DIEGO (Oct. 5) – The annual joint training camp for the disabled alpine and cross country ski squads shifted venues this preseason but still got high marks. The sand, sun and surf of southern California was counter-balanced by the sweat and strain of athletes on both teams, coaches said.


Talented '06 Team Ready to Dominate
PARK CITY, Utah (May 12) - Nineteen athletes, including World Cup champions Laurie Stephens (Wenham, MA) and Chris Devlin-Young (Campton, NH), and four other current or past World Championships or Paralympics winners have been named to the 2006 U.S. Disabled Alpine Ski Team. The cross country squad will have nine skiers, including World Cup and world champion Steve Cook (Salt Lake City, UT), for the 2006 Paralympic season.
More Than 55 Podiums for '05 Team
PARK CITY, Utah (April 15) - The U.S. Disabled Ski Team is savoring one of its most successful seasons after a winter in which both alpine and nordic skiers won World Cup titles, the alpine squad successfully defended its Nations' Cup, symbolic of World Cup supremacy, and Steve Cook (LW-4; Salt Lake City) not only won two more cross country titles at the World Championships but took the World Cup crown, too.
Third Gold for Devlin-Young, Moeller
VAIL, Colo. (March 27) - Sit-skier Chris Devlin-Young (LW-12/1; Campton, NH) came back Sunday, a day after crashing in giant slalom, to win the slalom on the final day of The Hartford U.S. Disabled Championships and complete his personal golden hat trick while Stephani Victor (LW-12/2; Park City, UT) ended the bid for a sweep of the gold medals by Laurie Stephens (LW-12/1; Wenham, MA).

VAIL, Colo. (March 26) - World Cup champion Laurie Stephens (LW-12/1; Wenham, MA) made it three wins in three days Saturday at The Hartford U.S. Disabled Alpine Championships while Clay Fox (LW-4; Gillette, WY) and Rheinhild Moeller (LW-4) of Germany won their second in 24 hours.
