Award for Hall of Fame's Ray Leverton
ISHPEMING, Mich. (Oct. 14) - The International Association of Sports Museums and Halls of Fame has named Ray Leverton, longtime manager and curator of the U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame in Ishpeming, as the recipient of the 2005 W.R. "Bill" Schroeder Award, given in recognition of meritorious service to the sports museum and hall of fame community.


USOC Hall Gets (More) Golden
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Oct. 12) - The late disabled ski champion and U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame member Diana Golden Brosnihan (Bristol, RI) was among a headliner collection of athletes and sport luminaries named Wednesday to the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame.
Lindh Headlines U.S. Hall Class of '05
ISHPEMING, Mich. (Sept. 26) - Hilary Lindh, who left Alaska to boost her racing career and went on to a World Championships gold medal, an Olympic silver medal, a Worlds bronze medal and several World Cup victories and U.S. titles, is among four named as the Class of 2005 to the U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame.
Stern, Gaddis Top Intermountain Hall
PARK CITY, Utah (Sept. 21) - Edgar Stern, founder of Deer Valley Resort, and former national ski champion Jim Gaddis, who went on to found the Park City Ski Team, were among six men inducted Wednesday night into the Intermountain Ski Hall of Fame.

PARK CITY, Utah (Aug. 16) – Ever wonder what goes through men’s minds when watching a so-called “chick flick?” Well, here’s your chance to find out first hand what male members of the U.S. Ski Team have to say when they hash out their thoughts about “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” and “Home for the Holidays” for the Women’s Entertainment (WE) channel’s popular show, “3 Men and a Chick Flick.” The shows, featuring U.S. freestyle and alpine skiers, premiere Aug. 20 and Sept. 2.
Spyder Commits $7 Million in Renewal
PARK CITY, Utah (Aug. 1) – Spyder Active Sports, Inc., and the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) announced they will renew their current partnership through the 2011 season. The agreement, worth more than $7 million in cash and product, extends USSA’s longstanding relationship with Spyder and makes Spyder the first partner to extend its sponsorship through the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C.
Steadman Surgeons' Man of the Year
VAIL, Colo. (July 27) - Longtime U.S. Ski Team surgeon and U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame member Dr. Richard Steadman, one of the world's pre-eminent knee surgeons, is the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine's 2005 Mr. Sports Medicine.
